Please read the terms and conditions contained in this document carefully. When purchasing any product/s from, or selling devices to Mobalife, automatically you have agreed to these terms and conditions.

Mobalife reserves the right to amend these terms and conditions if need be. Once Mobalife has updated the website, new terms and conditions take immediate effect.

Mobalife reserves the right to refuse service to any person/legal entity who fails to comply with the terms and conditions contained herein.

Pre-Owned Products
All pre-owned products are thoroughly examined by our qualified technician to ensure that they are fully functional.

All pre-owned products come with a 15 day warranty which does not exclude factory defaults.

24 month warranty
In case of any functional fault occuring during the covered period, Mobalife reserves the right to repair the product. Alternatively, should repairs not be possible, Mobalife would offer a replacement of equal value.

Physical damage annuls the warranty entirely. This means that the warranty would NOT cover water damage or misuse of the product/device.

The warranty EXCLUDES negligence on the customers part. The warranty does not cover:

-Cracked screens
-Microphones and Speakers
-Natural degradation of battery
-Chargers

Delivery
Please note free delivery would only apply for orders over R5000 which are placed on the website ONLY. Alternatively, Our customers may meet one of our team members in Cape Town.

Shipping
When purchasing a device from Mobalife, we are NOT to be held responsible for any damages which occurs after the device has been posted.

Exchanges
Mobalife will only exchange a device if device is not considered defective or blacklisted. For all queries relating to returns please email : info@mobalife.co.za

Blacklisting
Mobalife has a stern policy with regards to stolen devices. If a device is found to be stolen, it should be noted that we will certainly take further action.

We have extremely strict procedures in place to guarantee that the devices we sell are not stolen, nor blacklisted. In the event that the device that you purchase from Mobalife is blacklisted, you are to receive a full refund or your device will be replaced to its full value.

This policy will NOT apply to blacklisted devices that are returned in an unusable condition.

Repairs & upgrades
If any repairs or upgrades are needed, we are able store your device at our premises for no more than 90 days. If your upgraded/repaired device is not collected within the 90-day period, we reserve the right to sell the device without compensation.

Content updates and changes
Mobalife reserves the right to correct or change the content of our website and any documentation relating to the purchasing, selling or trading of devices, at any time without prior notice. Mobalife does not claim that the content of our website is up-to-date at all times.

Responsibility
We at Mobalife accept responsibility for all aspects regarding the transaction which includes the sale of goods and services, customer service and support as well as delivery of goods.

Country of domicile
This website is governed by South African laws.

Selling your device to Mobalife
When selling your device to Mobalife, the following terms and conditions apply:

1. Device Eligibility – Mobalife reserves the right to refuse the purchase of any device if it not up to our required standard. Mobalife will only agree to purchase a device if after thorough inspection, it meets our requirements. Mobalife offers to purchase are valid for a period of 7 days unless stated otherwise.
2. Seller Requirements – Before purchasing a device, Mobalife requires accurate information about the device and the seller as well as compliance with all of the terms and conditions set in this document.

Mobalife will not be held liable if the seller provides us with incorrect bank details.

3. Categories – Mobalife devices/products are graded using a category system relating to the condition of the device/products we purchase. The categories are as follows :

* Sealed/Brand New – This refers to a device that has not been opened and is in the original box.
* Good Condition – This refers to a device that is in absolute working order and has minimum indication of usage.
* Minor Defects. This refers to a device that is in good working order but does have minor cosmetic defects.

Feel free to contact Mobalife if you are unsure of which category your device falls under.

4. Product valuation – Any offer made to you by Mobalife depends on the condition of the device as determined by our technician. Mobalife reserves the right to offer you an amount which is lower than the amount offered initially in the event that the condition of the device is not of the standard you have claimed. In the case of such a situation, you have the right to reject our offer and your device will be returned to you for a delivery fee of R250.

5. Product inspection – After you have accepted the offer made to you by Mobalife, you have 7 business days to ship your device to us. Failing to do so will result in the offer expiring. Mobalife performs IMEI number checks to ensure the legitimacy of your device. In the event of any illegitimacy being determined with regards your device, our offer will be terminated immediately and Mobalife will accept no further responsibility for your device.

6. Personal information and data -The seller should backup and remove data and personal information from their device before selling it to Mobalife. We will NOT be held liable for the loss of any data/information once a device has been received by us.

7. International sellers – Mobalife will not purchase any device from outside of South Africa. This aspect will definitely be reviewed later on.

Returns
All pre-owned products are guaranteed for 15 days for factory defaults. In the event of a return due to a factory default, the device must be returned at the cost of the consumer. Only If the device cannot be fixed or replaced, Mobalife will provide a full refund.

Postal fees as well as any other fee incurred when making a return is the responsibility of the consumer. Costs associated with returns are non-refundable. If you are to receive a refund, the return shipping or postal costs will be deducted from your refund.

Mobalife will not accept responsibility if we do not receive the returned device. We strongly advise all our customers to make use a trackable courier service.

Giveaways Policy
All giveaways conducted by Mobalife are exclusively available to individuals based in Cape Town.

Customer Privacy policy
It is of utmost importance to us that the personal information of our customers are protected at all times. We will take all necessary steps to ensure this.

Payment options accepted
Payment may be made via either Visa or MasterCard.

Card acquiring
Card transactions will be acquired for Mobalife via PayFast (Pty) Ltd – the approved payment gateway for all South African Acquiring Banks. PayFast uses the strict encryption. Users may go to www.payfast.co.za to view their security certificate and security policy for further peace of mind.

Customer details separate from card details
Mobalife customer details are stored separately from card details which are entered by the client on PayFast’s secure site. For more details on PayFast refer to www.payfast.co.za


Refund Policy
A refund is only given if Mobalife is unable to repair or replace the device. Our Refund Policy is valid for 7 days only. If a device is returned to us within 7 days of purchase, our team will carry out a thorough inspection to determine whether the device is defective. If a device is returned after the 7-day period, we will NOT be able to issue a refund.

A device will NOT be regarded defective if;

It is claimed that the device is not suitable for the purpose intended
Alterations or repairs have been carried out by somebody other than Mobalife, which resulted in damage
the device has been damaged due to negligence


At Mobalife, we offer customers the flexibility to secure their favourite devices through our convenient 6-Month Lay-By Plan.
This policy explains how our lay-by process works, your rights and obligations, and how we comply with the Consumer Protection Act, No. 68 of 2008 (CPA).

1. What is a Lay-By?

A lay-by allows you to reserve a product by paying for it over a fixed period, before collecting it once it’s fully paid off.
No credit checks or interest are charged — just a simple, affordable payment plan.

2. How Our Lay-By Plan Works
1. Choose Your Product: Select any eligible iPhone, MacBook, or Samsung device available in-store or online.
2. Pay a Deposit: Pay the first instalment (deposit) to secure your device.
3. 4-Month Payment Plan: The total amount is divided into 4 equal monthly payments (including your deposit).
4. Collect Your Device: Once your final payment is made, you can collect your device in-store within 14 days.

3. Payment Terms
• The lay-by period begins on the date of your first payment.
• All payments must be completed within 6 months.
• Payments can be made via EFT, card, or cash in-store.
• We’ll send monthly reminders to help you stay on track with payments.

4. Ownership and Risk
• The goods remain the property of Mobalife until full payment has been received.
• Ownership and risk transfer to you only upon full payment and collection of the device.
• Until then, Mobalife will keep your item safely reserved.

5. Cancellation and Non-Payment
• If you cancel your lay-by before full payment, or fail to complete payment within 6 months, the lay-by will be automatically cancelled.
• In line with Section 62(6) of the Consumer Protection Act, Mobalife may deduct a reasonable cancellation fee.
• After deduction of any applicable fee, the remaining balance will be refunded to you.
• If you fail to make payment by the agreed dates, Mobalife reserves the right to cancel the lay-by and release the reserved item for resale.

6. Refunds
• Refunds will be processed within 14 working days of cancellation confirmation.
• Refunds are only made to the original payer, and proof of ID is required.
• Refunds are paid via EFT to your verified bank account — no cash refunds are issued.

7. If Mobalife Cannot Supply the Goods

In the unlikely event that Mobalife is unable to deliver the device after full payment due to reasons under our control, you may choose between:
• A replacement product of equal or better value, or
• A full refund, or a refund equal to twice the amount paid, as provided for by Section 62(6) of the CPA.

8. Communication
• Mobalife will communicate all lay-by updates via WhatsApp, SMS, or email.
• It’s your responsibility to ensure that we have your correct contact information.

9. Compliance

This policy fully complies with the Consumer Protection Act (CPA), ensuring fairness, transparency, and protection for both parties.
